Founding Story

When I first started writing, I had this grand idea of completing a book called The Shades of Reason: The Book I Wish I Had on My Quest for Truth. The goal was to create the most objective, topic-rich resource on the credibility of the gospel in comparison to other major worldviews.

I wanted to make it free to the world—to help as many people as possible develop nuanced reasons for their beliefs, avoid the overwhelm I went through when I started looking for answers about God, and have a resource they could share with others in full confidence.

As I identified more and more topics I felt the need to cover in detail, I realized that a single book couldn’t do justice to the depth required, especially if it were going to live up to its title.

So, I decided to break it into a multi-volume series. Each book offering different pieces of the puzzle, and shining a light on the intricacies of truth.

From these books, I hope to eventually compile their detailed summaries into a shorter, easy-to-read version of my original project—backed by the deep research in the series.

To make this all possible while keeping my work widely accessible, Nuance Academy will be a crowdfunded platform that gives one-time, monthly, and annual contributors access to all eBook releases and additional content in one place. Click here to join the waitlist.

Mission

To produce the most trustworthy, intellectually honest book series on truth, God, morality, and the worldviews that compete to explain them.

Before I began my search for truth, I assumed it would be near impossible...

Trust Factor

When a Christian publisher's mission is to produce the most intellectually honest book series about ultimate truth, it's likely to invite skepticism...

Vision

The Shades of Reason is currently a solo endeavor, and a big part of me would prefer to keep it that way, but if I'm able to build a small, highly vetted research team that is committed to precision...

Accountability

As diligent as I try to be to get things right the first time, oversights are inevitable. If I discover that I've misrepresented a view, or perhaps misunderstood a subtlety in a foreign language...
